Help with QuickBooks and QB Payroll

“We are a small business that requires accounting systems and processes. In the last five years we have employed multiple part time / full time bookkeepers. They came from several sources including staffing companies. Each individual had various levels of knowledge using QuickBooks and the rules of accounting. For all the effort and cost our management still could not get consistent and reliable reporting for financial analysis. As the Business Operations manager I needed a different approach and solution. In my quest, I discovered “Out of the Box” and their exceptional talent pool of consultants. At first I thought using a QuickBooks Pro Advisor was too expensive of a solution for reporting problems. But after spending another year of frustration and money with people who really didn’t get it, I hired “Out of the Box” to clean up our system and help us grow. We incorporated a 3rd party applications suggested by “Out of the Box” that sync with QuickBooks for all our credit card expenses and time keeping. These are mobile applications that our employees use to track and submit both expense reports and timesheets. Within just a few sessions we now have systems that reflect our needs for job costing, regular and mock payroll, daily expenses, timesheet, and solid reporting. Currently, we are finishing another application project with the help of “Out of the Box” personnel that also syncs with QuickBooks. This will help us streamline our estimating process done on a PC or Mac and translate it to QB estimates. I plan to work with “Out of the Box” on a regular basis to maintain the system that we have built together.
